“There’s no ‘should’ or ‘should not’
when it comes to having feelings.
They’re part of who we are
and their origins are beyond our control.
When we can believe that,
we may find it easier to make constructive choices about what to do with those feelings.”
— Fred Rogers —
I assist parents, and whoever cares for children, in creating a suitable emotional and learning environment for the unique young humans entrusted to them, based on principles of respect, autonomy and empowerment.
If you are looking for new strategies to help you and your children thrive, I would be delighted to support in navigating the challenges at hand.
The guiding philosophy
• Children are good and do well, if they can
• Behavior is not the problem, it is a symptom
• Cooperation trumps coercion
• When we know better we do better
• Parents are the highest authority in regard to their children
I embrace the concept of neurodiversity beyond labels, in favour of a more practical approach aimed at maximising the individual strengths and meeting the specific challenges that each child is facing.
The method
The tools and strategies I share are grounded in my understanding and experience of Emotional Education, Neuroplasticity, Conscious Parenting, Trauma recovery and Autonomous Learning.
The main aim of this non-punitive, non-adversarial mode of care is to improve children’s well-being, prevent or dispel harmful behaviour and improve outcomes in any learning environment.
Together we develop understanding of children’s needs. We let go the believes that are not serving us and rewire our expectation. We practice self-awareness and build self-regulation, self-discipline and self-motivation skills for ourselves first.
Together we work on nourishing dependable and satisfying relationships. We learn to tolerate and honour all feelings without getting stuck in any of them (we practice that a lot!) We model resilience and collaborative and proactive problem solving.
Together we devise how to set realistic and loving boundaries, and how to tackle stand-offs and unworkable behaviour. We make a plan of action. We rejoice in witnessing the shift of dysfunctional patterns of behaviour as our relationships grow deeper and stronger.
The results
The resources and support offered are designed to reduce the stress in your personal relationship with your child and in group dynamics.
Experiencing relational safety and building capacity for self-regulation allow people, big and small, to bringing out the unique treasure every human being holds inside and to develop healthy patterns of connection and intimacy throwout their lives.
The development of relational skills facilitates learning and conflict resolution.
By building skills and self-confidence, you can guide your unique little humans to reach their full potential in any stage of his/her development.
An education in listening to oneself and to others, is the best prevention for unpleasant situations and dysfunctional behaviours such as aggression, bullying, abuse or simply unhappiness.
