Space to tend what has been waiting in you.

It doesn't take a major crisis to seek therapy.

You may be the person others rely on. The one who achieves, holds things together and keeps going. From the outside, it can look like coping. Inside, it might feel like you have very little left.

Or perhaps that has already stopped working, and you are wondering what happened to the person who used to manage. You might have learned early that being useful was the safest way to be loved, or that living from the neck up was less painful. Perhaps you've become so practised at reading the room that you've lost track of your own signal.

So far, you have always found a way to survive. It might not be the way you want to keep living.

People come to me for many reasons. Often, it's one of these:

* Trauma, abuse and childhood neglect

Physical, emotional and sexual abuse, neglect, and the patterns that follow, in how you relate, how you trust, and how intimacy feels now.

* Anxiety and depression

The low hum that never quite settles, the constant bracing for what might go wrong, or a heaviness that makes ordinary things feel far away.

* Relational and family patterns, and parenthood

What was passed down, what you're trying not to repeat, and the difficulty of staying connected to your child while losing touch with yourself.

* Disconnection from the body & body image

Distress that lives in or around the body: a difficult relationship with food, intense preoccupation with your appearance, or feeling distant from yourself and from what you feel and want.

* Burnout, perfectionism and overachieving

Where performance has become the price of belonging, until nothing feels like enough, or you can't keep it up at all.

* Grief, loss and life transition

Bereavement, endings, the passages of life that change who you are, including the ones nobody marks.

I offer individual therapy with adults.

Trained in several therapeutic approaches, I adapt my work to your needs, rather than fitting you into a single method.

I'm interested in how you learned to be in the world, as well as in how that shows up in the relationship between us.

I pay attention not only to what you think and feel, but to what your body carries and how it responds. I work at your pace and never ahead of it.

Sessions are 50 minutes, £60, in person or online.

Hello, I'm Vera.

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a Psychotherapist in advanced training. I am British-Italian, and I work in English and Italian.

I know from my own experience, as well as my clients', how difficult it can be to find a therapist you can work with. So I begin by listening. Because I believe you are the expert on yourself.

What I offer is consistency, honesty and my full attention. What I hope for, over time, is a freer and truer way of being with yourself and with those around you.
